THE WILDWOOD DIPTYCH

Szymon Ruczynski

Experimental l Poland l 9

The Wildwood Diptych is a tale of an ancient forest told in two different ways - from nature's point of view and that of a man. In the first chapter, we follow magical spirits as they journey restlessly through the wonders of the wilderness. In the second part, we get to know the role that a man took in the conservation of nature, shown in a satirical way.

Although distinct in visual terms, the two chapters complement each other to create a complex picture of our relationship with nature.

FRENCH FORESTS, IN SEARCH OF THE FUTURE

Camille Geoffray

Documentary l France l 54'

While the exploitation of forests is today facing growing contestation within public opinion, two journalists discover a sector shaken by an ideological crisis against a backdrop of climate change. They interact with foresters, economists, business leaders; and try, with their complementary approaches, to understand the challenges of this crisis as well as the solutions proposed by the various actors in the sector.
